You want to help....but how

Ok so - changing tones today a little bit....

I recently read a book (yes I read every now and again), called Banker to the Poor, written by a former Nobel Peace Prize Winner. Without getting into to much detail about the book, it concerns how WE can eradicate poverty in our time, through micro lending. The book is great, and it got me thinking how could I be a "micro lender" giving small amounts of my money to help someone else start a business somewhere else in the world.

Along comes KIVA.ORG, which does just that, I highly encourage you all to check this site out and give. Remember its a loan, you will get paid back, and you can learn about exactly who you are giving to and what their business plan is. Really good stuff.....be sure to watch the video on their site as well
