inspired on a train

On a cool, cloudy, Spring evening
Returning home from a day with the Fam
Traversing multiple forms of mass trans
Shuffling through rhythms and melodies
of time present, beyond and behind

Nothing caught my attention
Just the usual faceless faces
Staring into the abyss of their minds
Directionless eyes as trains roll

Out of nowhere, my ears awaken
a certain song hits me
and in this quiet solitude
I am again alive, inspired

Just seven minutes of perfectly
placed notes
Listened to twice
I was convinced that I had discovered
Or maybe rediscovered....

In what was a stagnant, emotionless evening
thoughts started rushing through my head
I wanted to write, scream out loud, dance, paint
Volume up, headphones on

A piece of music of such great brilliance
Meant for everyone to share
Proving yet again how we never know
The time or the place, when an evening shuffle
Takes you to the place you had to go

Its why I (and we) love music...

Nice work. I like the picture too. If you like the Duo, you should head over to their fan community site. Peace.
