Hey Everyone, its almost here...... Martin Luther King Weekend! If you do not get off of work this Monday, I suggest that you take off in protest. Though when you think of it, there are so many people we could really honor with a day off, too many to list here. In any event MLK was the man and deserved this day off, a leader of a generation, and the type of leader we sorely miss today (and no Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have not picked up the slack). Please take the time to read MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech given nearly 45 years ago, it is sure to inspire all of you no matter how many times you may have read it (and especially in an era where the word "freedom" is too often used for political gain. Other Friday Afternoon Notes:
Sitcoms are generally not funny (I'd say 85% of them), but a new show this season sticks out and that is 30 Rock on the NBC, a light in a beacon of bad network comedy. Thank you Alec Baldwin (also a Knick fan).
Speaking of funny, Zach Galifianakis, is a funny person, both looks funny and says things that inspire one to laugh. He will be coming to NYC in Feb. I will be there, and I suggest you are too, we can laugh aloud together.
I wish you could all read Tom Fiedmans column today from the Times (if you have TimesSelect you can...its weak I know, I share it with a friend)
Last night a friend, consumed the subject (cburger wrap at lunch, why a wrap you ask...I have no idea) and followed up with a dinner of sausage and onion pizza, and I tell ya, the kid is picture of perfect health, he is an honored WWCD member. And that's exactly how Clyde would roll on an off day(if he weren't kosher).
Sports Locks of The Weekend:
Chargers Over Pats
Saints over Eagles
Colts over Ravens
Hawks over Bears
and ofcourse
The Knicks over Charlotte (friday) and Sacramento (monday)
