So I completely spaced out last night and missed the Golden Globe awards, which for me as a pop culture icon and all, is a really big miss. Instead I watched the formerly stoned "Kumar" of "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" fame, play a very believable everyday suburban, muslim, californian, teenager /international terrorist in the new season of "24". I love 24, its both comedy and high drama, and after each episode I feel a more compelling reason to believe Fox is really trying to quickly bring on the apocalypse (or just make me really afraid to go outside or have any contact with anyone who is Muslim - way to go Rupert Murdoch!)
Anyway, on the Globes, I read a great Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) qoute from the post show press conf: "The most unpleasant scene was certainly the naked fight. I didn’t know if I was going to survive. There was a little sign that I was going to show [director] Larry Charles that if I ran out of air when Ken was sitting on my face, I will tap on the bed three times. If you look at the movie again I tap on the bed three times, but Larry was so engrossed with the monitor that he didn’t realize I was dying under Ken Davitian’s anus." - oooh that smell
Razzle Dazzle Play:
Sad how the hangings aren't going as smoothly as planned in Iraq - This is really getting out of hand and pathetic, mirroring the war itself ....I guess not shocking, but wow
Because of Global Warming, new Islands are being revealed - start planning your vacations now, you don't want to go when its gets all gentrified and shit
It was CRAWSOME, Knicks beat Kings on MLK day
Lastly for today, football - It angers me that the Patriots beat San Diego, in a game that only can be attributed to the curse of Marty Schottenhemier. I feel bad for LT and the great city of San Diego, who are way more deserving of Superbowl shot this year, than Bill "Can't afford new clothes" Belichek, and the lame-ass Foxboro Patriots. As for the other games, I am happy the Saints won, and they are now my team, they are everyones team, win it for KATRINA Baby! "The Saints are coming"
WWCD Superbowl pick: Saints 27, Colts 23
sorry Peyton, the whole world will be against you in this one
