Friends, my readers, and internet users worldwide, it is I, Brad Evans. I know its been a bit, but truthfully between holiday observances and the "man" keeping me down, my time has been limited. I apologize, but I have many things for you today.
Lets begin in bullets:
Lets begin in bullets:
- The Knicks season is in the tank, (let the Kevin Garnett rumors begin) I do not want to go there...., however a former Knick/Senator/former Presidential Candidate, Bill Bradley, has written a new book, The New American Story. The guy is brilliant, and is the sole reason I could not vote for the inconveient truth/oxymoron that is Al Gore in 2000.
- Sunday nights are back.....Sopranos, Entourage....bring it. Speaking of, its the final 9 for those Sopranos. Who dies first? Will Paulie take out Tony in a fit of Paulie-esque rage?, will Johns wife finally eat herself?, and most importantly will we see Meadow naked?
- In honor of Easter and this "good" friday - check out Aretha Franklin busting our Amazing Grace in an actual church
- In honor of Passover (which I spent part of in the lovely city of Cleveland), check our some hip hop versions of parts of the seder. Courtesy of DJ SoCalled, 2nd Cup of wine , Who Know's One and the 10 Plagues featuring Killah Priest
- Forbes magazine (yes that Forbes) present to you a slide show on the most exotic green you've ever seen
- NYC River to River
- Highlights: Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings 7/26 - plus a whole lot more
- Midlake opening for the New Pornographers on July 4th
- Celebrate Brooklyn (Clydes #1 summer fun venue)
- Highlights: a free 7 hour African Music Festival August 11th, everyones fave hippy chick Joan Osbourne in June
- Newport Folk Festival (ain't so folky anymore) - looks amazing
- Summerstage 2008 the initial lineup
- Wilco Tour Dates
- And lastly Irving Plaza will be renamed The Fillmore East at Irving Plaza - lame....
